employees. The company size White Glove Payroll is built for.

2to4weeks

from signed engagement to your first live cycle, including a full mock run.

1/3

of the time a client’s full-time payroll hire used to spend on the same three-country scope. The story is below.

In our payroll team’s experience, an employee will accept two payroll issues before they disengage. Two.

Payroll doesn’t generate revenue. But broken payroll quietly destroys retention, and good payroll quietly compounds it. When your team never has to think about whether their pay is right, on time, or correctly taxed, you’ve removed an entire category of friction from your business.

That’s what we’re selling. Not bill-pay. Not data entry. The absence of payroll problems for you and the people who work for you.

Who it fits

White Glove Payroll fits best when your business has:

Too smallIf you have under 25 employees on straight salary, you probably don’t need us yet.

Fits best50 to 200employees

Too largeIf you have 400+ across multiple geographies with complex equity comp, you need an in-house team. Everywhere in between is where we live.

  • 50 to 200 employees
  • A mix of earning types: salary, hourly, commission, bonus
  • Employees in more than one province, or in both Canada and the US
  • A founder or COO who has stopped wanting to think about T4s, ROEs, year-end, and remittance deadlines

What’s actually included.

  • A dedicated payroll contact who knows your business.

Not a ticket queue. Not a chatbot. Melissa or Judy, a person who answers when you call.

  • Custom payroll structures.

Multi-province and multi-state pay, Canadian and US payroll on one file, contractors mixed with employees, complex commissions, retroactive adjustments, off-cycle runs.

  • Compliance ahead of the change, not behind it.

Federal, provincial, and state rules shift constantly. We track them and tell you what affects your business before it does.

  • End-to-end accounting integration.

Payroll doesn’t stop at the cheque. We post the journal entries into your accounting system every cycle, so each pay run lands in your books as it happens.

  • Source deduction remittances and reconciliations.

PD7As, T4/T4A annual filings, WCB, EHT: all handled, reconciled, and filed.

  • US payroll and tax filings.

1099, W-2, federal and state tax remittances. Both Melissa and Judy carry US payroll experience.

  • ROEs, onboarding, offboarding.

New hire setup, terminations, and ROE filings within statutory windows.

  • Garnishment management.

Child support, tax levies, and wage garnishments, handled with confidentiality.

  • Benefits and group plan support.

We act as the point of contact between your benefits provider and your payroll, so changes flow without you babysitting them.

  • Direct support by phone and email.

No tier-one screening. You reach someone who already knows the file.

  • Payroll review and reconciliation.

Regular review of payroll accuracy, tax filings, and reconciliations to your accounting system.

Three things built into every engagement.

  1. Only our payroll team touches payroll.

Your payroll isn’t handed to a bookkeeper or junior accountant who has bigger files to think about. Our payroll team is just our payroll team. It’s all they do.

  2. We post into your books.

We don’t just run the cycle and email you a report. We close the loop into your accounting system, every time. Your controller doesn’t have to chase entries.

  3. Platform-agnostic, but opinionated.

We work in whatever you already use: Wagepoint, Payworks, ADP, Ceridian, Gusto, QuickBooks Payroll. If your current setup is hurting you, we’ll tell you and we’ll migrate you. We’ve moved a three-country payroll off three separate platforms onto one.

You’re live in two to four weeks.

A structured cutover, not a leap. We catalogue every filing, mock-run a full cycle in parallel, and only switch over once everything reconciles.

  1. Week 1

    Kickoff

Melissa or Judy runs a structured checklist covering employees, pay structures, deductions, benefits, filings, and access.

  2. Weeks 1 to 3

    Access setup

Your payroll platform, banking portals, CRA, IRS and state accounts, and accounting system. We catalogue every filing the business is responsible for.

  3. Final week

    Mock payroll run

A full cycle processed in parallel without sending anything out. Every discrepancy surfaced and resolved with you before live cutover.

  4. Go-live

    First real cycle

    Fully managed.

The mock run is non-negotiable. It’s why our clients don’t lose a payroll cycle when they switch to us.

Real client, real numbers

Three countries, three platforms, one team.

A retail merchandising company with employees in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, just under 300 staff, was running payroll on three different platforms. Ceridian in Canada. ADP in the US. UK accountants handling the UK. They had a full-time internal payroll specialist managing it all.

Treewalk took it over.

We consolidated all three countries onto a single payroll platform, rebuilt the process, and removed the manual work the previous owner had accumulated.

1/3

Today we run the same scope, Canada, US, UK, in one-third of the time their full-time hire used to spend on it.

Two people. One file.

Melissa and Judy both carry US payroll experience. Cross-border is normal for us, not a stretch. When you call, you reach a person who already knows your file.

Frequently asked questions.

Will we have to switch payroll platforms?
Probably not. We work in whatever you’re using today. If we recommend a switch, it’s because the current platform is actively costing you money or compliance risk, and we’ll show you the math.
Can you handle US and Canadian payroll on one team?
Yes. Both Melissa and Judy carry US payroll experience. Cross-border is normal for us, not a stretch.
What happens if a remittance gets missed?
We own the calendar and the filing, so it shouldn’t happen. If something does go wrong on our side, we own the resolution and any associated penalty.
Do you handle ROEs and year-end?
Yes. ROEs are filed within statutory windows. T4/T4A and W-2/1099 year-end filings are handled end-to-end.
How fast can you onboard us?
Two to four weeks from signed engagement to first live cycle, including the mock run.
What if our current bookkeeper isn’t doing payroll well?
That’s the most common reason our clients call us. We’ll do a payroll review, surface what’s been happening, and propose a clean cutover.
Can you do payroll without doing our accounting?
Yes. Most of our payroll engagements are bundled with accounting because clients want one team, but White Glove is sold as a standalone service. We have payroll-only clients today.

We’ll look at your current setup, surface what’s costing you time or money, and tell you whether White Glove is the right fit. No proposal pressure on the call.
